Our priorities

We need to change the change

13 million women are going through or in menopause. That’s one third of the female population of the UK. Many women go through menopause without difficulty.

Menopause isn’t a disease. But the physical effects of menopausal symptoms, including insomnia, severe hot flushes, migraines, mood disturbance and urogenital symptoms, can have a significant impact on a woman’s ability to function at work and at home. For some women, these problem symptoms continue for up to 15 years. And the physical changes that occur during and after menopause mean that women face an increased risk of conditions such as cardiovascular disease and osteoporosis. For the one in four women who experience problems, help is frequently hard to find.

It is a great relief for having read about you. You do a great work with women. I am a Kenyan educated woman who went through hell before being told about menopause. I then realized that several women, learned and unlearned fall in the same category. I am out to help share information with women all over different regions in Kenya. I am a phd student and I am writing a journal on menopause. I like what you are doing. God bless you all.

Hello Rebecca. Thanks for being in touch. It’s always good to know about women who are taking action.
